Niara Fraser is an accomplished attorney-at-law with significant expertise in property and commercial law, as well as certification as a mediator. Known for her strong legal acumen, Niara has consistently demonstrated her dedication and commitment to her work. Her exceptional organizational skills have been key in navigating and completing complex financing transactions, earning her the respect and admiration of her colleagues. Her experience is further enriched by her work alongside seasoned commercial litigation counsel, which has provided her with valuable courtroom experience that enhances the firm's commercial practice. Since joining Chancery Chambers in 2010, Ms. Fraser has risen to the position of Partner and now leads the Property Conveyancing and Estate Department. She earned her Bachelor of Laws degree with Second Class Honours (Upper Division) from the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus, Barbados, and went on to complete her Legal Education Certificate at Hugh Wooding Law School in Trinidad and Tobago. There, she graduated on the Principal Honour’s List and was awarded the Pelham Sloane-Seale Memorial Prize for outstanding performance in Conveyancing and Registration of Title. Ms. Fraser is a member of the Barbados Bar Association, the Bar of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, and an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Secretaries.
